It’s been another 10 days and I really haven’t worked on much silver, but I have completed my katrina for Dia de los Muertos.
While it was time consuming to make her, it took quite a bit of time to engineer her sitting on a candlestick holder. Because of the hat, she wasn’t going to hang on the wall like last year’s katrina. Hence, I needed to figure out how to get her skinny skeleton “butt” to be anchored to the holder. With a large amount of epoxy, a little styrofoam, a plastic cap for a spray bottle and 2 framing bumpers I finally got her seated.
With the katrina, the “sugar” skulls and the few silver skulls, I am done with Dia de los Muertos.
